Battlestar Galactica! Holy Cow It’s Good

by Brendon Carr

Via the magic of the Internet, I’m able to see Battlestar Galactica almost immediately after it airs in the United States. Holy cow, this is a good show. After watching the emergence of the formerly-nondescript background character Tory Foster in the last two Galactica episodes, I’m really curious to know how many visitors will find Korea Law Blog via the keyword search “Rekha Sharma nude”.

Galactica‘s in its fourth and final season on SciFi. There are 19 episodes left. The three seasons of Galactica thus far make one wonder what we might have gotten had Firefly not been on Fox.

If you’re not such a nerd that you’re home watching the SciFi Channel on Friday nights, you should be. But you probably wouldn’t be searching for “Rekha Sharma nude”.

UPDATE 4/20: It appears not too many pages on the Internet contain the keywords “Rekha Sharma nude”, which is borne out by the fact that this page has risen to the #1 Google search result for those keywords. To those of you who have come to Korea Law Blog due to that search, my apologies. Suckers!

Brendon - do you know about the Sling Box?  I own two of them, one my mother has tucked away in her closet in North Carolina, and another one here in Korea.  I can watch USA programming, and she can watch Korean shows (she got hooked on the Arirang dramas which are subtitled in English).  If you have any family back in the states that would allow you to hook up one of these boxes, might be worth looking into.

Sling Box let’s you “place shift” your viewing.  I think there may be some solutions that work with Sling Box and let you “time shift” also.  Good luck.

Chris, I surely do know about the Sling Box. And for about six or seven years I’ve had access to content on a BeyondTV box in the San Francisco Bay Area; I’ve been thinking about getting a BeyondTV (Windows), EyeTV (Mac), or MythTV (Linux) set up in St. Louis where my Dad is. But the bad side is, the first trouble with the system and I am out of business until I can get back to STL—Dad won’t be a lot of help with this stuff.

A SlingBox is essentially a plug-and-play version of the foregoing, where you give up some configurability in exchange for Dad being able to turn it on and off for you. Is that correct?

Of course, the real question is whether anyone needs either a computer-based PVR or a SlingBox when BitTorrent makes all the content available without all that administration overhead.

Brendon sorry but I just bumped you off of Google’s #1 for “Rekha Sharma nude”.  LOL.

I noticed that today. It’s odd, really, because of all the sites on the Internet, Korea Law Blog appears to have more “Rekha Sharma nude” content than any other site. I think it’s because you have “Rekha Sharma nude” in your page title and URL. Anyway, wait until you see what I have brewing for those “Brendon Carr nude” searchers…

Brendon: Yes, the SlingBox is basically plug-n-play. Usually at installation you need to punch a hole through your router for the incoming connection, thought it’s been too long for me remember for sure. But once you get it setup, the most maintenance I’ve ever had is to get my Mom to recycle power (and that is very rarely). -Chris

Putting naked in the title of one post (on the subject of Naked News starting a Korean version) has led to searches with that word appearing 10 times in the top 30 list of search strings that led to my blog.

It just confirms the stats that “The internet is for porn”
